Soul Mates
The years have drifted by in a stormy sea of change, yet we remain together, constant.
We've been tossed about by waves of joy and sadness,
Yet buoyed up by the strong undercurrent of love we share.
You were my lifeboat in a cruel sea of broken dreams.
You were my anchor in the worst of winds.
I will sail these waters with you, my love,
For as long as I am granted the ebb and flow of life;
And when it's time to go ashore to rest from the turbulent tides,
I'll give thanks for our safe voyage, upon the ocean of our love.
